Final Fantasy XIII sold more than 1.5 million copies

In less than 1 week of it's release in Japan, the latest Final Fantasy series XIII has sold more than 1.5 million copies. This comes with more than 240,000 units of PS3 being sold as well in that same week!

What is more astonishing is 1.1 million copies were sold on the first day!!!

The Final Fantasy series is definitely still hot property for many of the game enthusiasts in Japan even if the original brains behind this series are not involved in the development of this latest version.

But if you think the sales volume boils down mainly to its past fame and glories, you may be wrong. As the latest edition of the Japanese magazine Famitsu gave it a near perfect score rating of 39/40.

This game definitely means business...
