Spotgamers is proud to announce today the commencement of Spotgamers E-Sports League here in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 6 March 2010 to 24 April 2010 at Autosurf Cybercafe, Taman Taynton View, Cheras brought to you by FTEG Technology Sdn Bhd.

Spotgamers E-Sports League is made possible with the support of Sendi Mutiara Multimedia Sdn Bhd, Gamers Dotcom Sdn Bhd and Electronic Sports Professional Sdn Bhd. Spotgamers E-Sports League will serve as a platform for content generation for Spotgamers.com and to showcase high level professional gaming in Malaysia.

Spotgamers E-Sports League is a professional gaming league and will feature 18 of top FIFA players and 8 top Defense of the Ancients team, battling against each other for the bragging rights as the best player and team in Malaysia. It will be conducted by using the combination of round robin and Swiss System League where each player will be pitted against another player who has done as well (or poorly) as him or herself.

Registration would commence on February 8, 2010 onwards until February 21, 2010 at 11.59 pm. Although the registration is by invitation for the inaugural season of Spotgamers E-Sports League, players or teams are allowed to submit their gaming resume to be reviewed for selection purpose.

Date: Every Saturday of the week from 6 March 2010 to 24 April 2010
Time: 1pm - 6pm

Champion : RM1000
1st Runner Up: RM800
2nd Runner Up: RM600
4th : RM400
5th : RM300
6th : RM200
7th : RM150
8th : RM100
9th-18th : Sponsored prizes

DOTA Prizes:
Champion : RM2500
1st Runner Up: RM2000
2nd Runner Up: RM1500
4th : RM1000
5th : RM800
6th : RM600
7th : RM400
8th : RM200

LEAGUE FORMAT & POLICY

1. 1 Season = 2 months
1st season = 6th March 2010 To 25th  April 2010
2nd season*= Early June To End July
3rd season *= Early September To End October

2. Suggested starting game*: FIFA 2010(1 v 1) & Warcraft III: DOTA(5 v 5). All games are played via Local Area Network (LAN) at Autosurf Cheras.

3. There will be registration fee & commitment fee to enter:
FIFA: RM100/gamer   (Registration fee: RM50   Commitment fee: RM50)
DOTA: RM250/team  (Registration fee: RM50    Commitment fee: RM200)  

4. Commitment fee will be returned to the players when the season ends. The balance will be deducted if there is any penalty involve. Penalty will be given to those who fail to abide to the rules:
  
- Late From Schedule: RM10
- Late Replying To Interviews: RM5
- Absent Without Prior Notice: RM20
- Absent Without Prior Notice x 3 times: 100% Of Commitment Fee
- Re-scheduling: RM5.00   

Players may reschedule their games with valid reason and upon agreement by their opponents and approval by the management team.

Players must answer interviews before the dateline approaches. This is to make sure that we can give full exposure for the players & content generation for Spotgamers.

5. The date of the games played is as follows:



FIFA 10: Every Saturday of each week from 1.00pm to 6.00pm
DOTA: Every Sunday of each week from 1.00pm to 6.00pm
Should there be any other major tournament (decided by the management) that clash with our dates; we will bring forward all the matches to the next match day.

eg:  WCG 2010 Qualifier Date: 16th - 18th April @ Kuala Lumpur

All matches on 17th & 18th April will be brought forward to 24th & 25th April.
This also means that there will be more games to be played on 24th & 25th April.
This rule was introduced to make sure that all players in the league are allowed & encouraged to join other major tourney as well. Spotgamers would love to promote more competition & unity in the gaming community.

Spotgamers E-Sports league is a professional league therefore there is no restriction on any top players or teams in Malaysia. However, due to limited slots we will only select those who we feel have the determination to succeed, the discipline to be committed and the highest level of skills to pwned his opponents.

The prizes really look attractive and i'm thinking this Spotgamers League will bring fame to those who can top the league as they are doing it something like what SK is doing too.

I really hope to join although i might need to travel up to KL every Saturday for 2 months with car. Can i suggest that we propose a direct full sponsorship from T2 for us to join this League? I believe T2 will really want us to help them promote them and since Spotgamers are really making this big, definitely will be covered fully with player interviews in the gaming medias. If there's sponsor i think i'll join to give it a try!

the annoying thing abt this league is the penalties they imposed
i'm not saying they are looking for these penalties to make a quick buck but just feels the lack of leniency kinda irks
but then again, guess that's the "Singapore style" of bringing discipline to a league system
so anyone knows if Jali is joining too???
it'll make the league more exciting if he does and especially with videos of matches going to be posted on spotgamers website
